Physio or chiro
Physio or chiro for seniors: what's the difference?
No difference. For seniors, the treatment is the same whether you see our physiotherapist or our chiropractor.
Whoever visits, care is gentle and hands-on: joint mobilization, soft tissue work, stretching and simple exercises. Most seniors don't need spinal adjustments.
So choose whoever suits you best. Many people decide based on what their extended health plan covers, since plans often list physiotherapy and chiropractic separately. What we help with
Senior physiotherapy and chiropractic: what we help with
- Stiff, achy joints and arthritis
- Back, neck and shoulder pain
- Getting stronger after a hospital stay or surgery
- Feeling unsteady or worried about falling
- Getting up from a chair, in and out of bed, and managing stairs
- Choosing a walker or rollator (walker assessments take place at the dealer)
Research shows that exercise programs that work on balance and strength can lower the risk of falls in older adults. Doing them at home means they're built around your own chairs, stairs and kitchen counter.
